KASBP-Daewoong and KASBP-Green Cross Fellowship Awards in
2013 KASBP FALL Symposium
Dear Young Scholars,
Korean American Society in Biotech and Pharmaceuticals (KASBP) announces “2013 KASBP Fall Symposium” to be held on November 15th (Friday) and 16th (Saturday), 2013 at Sheraton Edison Hotel Raritan Center (125 Raritan Center Pkwy, Edison, NJ 08837). The symposium is sponsored by KSEA (Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association), KUSCO (Korea-U.S. Science Cooperation Center), Daewoong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., and Green Cross Corp.
The symposium will focus on current trends in drug discovery and development, particularly in the area of oncology, pain, and anti-fungal. The symposium also would like to uncover young scientists and to recognize their achievements in biotech and pharmaceutical science research. The symposium will also provide a great opportunity for members to establish professional networks in order to share information and experiences among them in pursuit of excellence in R & D.
One of the highlights of the symposium will be the KASBP-Daewoong and KASBP-Green Cross fellowship awards for young scholars such as graduate students and post-docs who excel in research. Therefore, KASBP cordially invites all young scholars for submissions of an ABSTRACT and CV (Curriculum Vitae) for the fellowship awards in the 2013 KASBP Fall Symposium according to the following:
Invited Area:
Medical science, Biological & Pharmaceutical science, Organic chemistry, and/or areas related to drug discovery and development
Submission Requirements:
Prospective authors should submit an ABSTRACT and CV including author’s name, affiliation(s), postal and e-mail address, as well as telephone number.
Due date: October 27, 2013
Format: ABSTRACT (in Microsoft Word) and CV (in PDF)
Typeface: Times New Roman, font size 11 or 12 points

*Award winners will be notified by November 1, 2013 and should give an oral presentation (10 minutes) and poster presentation in November 16 (Saturday), 2013.
Brief Symposium Schedule:
The 1st day of symposium will begin with an opening ceremony and banquet at 6:00 PM. The 2nd day of symposium will begin at 9:00 AM and end at 5:30 PM. The finalized symposium program will be available by the end of October, 2013.
