We are excited to announce that the 2023 KASBP Fall Symposium will be held on Nov. 3rd (Fri.) ~ 4th (Sat.), 2023 in New Jersey.

The symposium will focus on "Increasing the Probability of Success in Drug Discovery and Development". It is going to be an excellent opportunity for all of us to expand our knowledge and to network with a number of professionals. Please make sure to SAVE THE DATE and stay tuned for Early Bird Registration starting next week Monday!

2022 Fall MOGAM-KASBP Scholarship Winners

The MOGAM-KASBP Scholarship program awards undergraduate and graduate students studying science-related disciplines at university or scientific institution outside of Republic of Korea (ROK) with the generous support of Mogam Science Scholarship Foundation. To foster students’ commitment to furthering study in KASBP’s key interesting areas, the program offers $3500. Scholars are also invited to attend the 2022 Fall KASBP Symposium, where they will have the opportunity to discover the current trend of pharmaceutical industry and to create network with leaders and experts in Korean-American pharmaceutical society.

Having reviewed a highly competitive pool of candidates from across the United States of America, we proudly congratulate the 1^st MOGAM-KASBP Scholars and we thank everyone who took the time to submit an application.

The Korean American Society in Biotech and Pharmaceuticals (KASBP) is a non-profit organization founded in May 2001. With the generous support of MOGAM Science Scholarship Foundation, KASBP established MOGAM-KASBP scholarship in 2022 to foster brilliant undergraduate and graduate student(s) studying science related disciplines at university and/or scientific institution outside of Republic of Korea (ROK). We are cordially inviting you to apply 1st MOGAM-KASBP scholarship. The award winner will receive $3500.

Invited Area: 

Medical sciences, Biological & Pharmaceutical sciences, Organic/Medicinal chemistry, and/or areas related to drug discovery and development

Submission Requirement*:

1. The applicant must be an undergraduate or a graduate student.
2. The applicant must have ROK citizenship
3. Permanent US resident (Green card holder) retaining ROK citizenship is eligible to apply.
4. The applicant who holds dual citizenship (i.e., both ROK and foreign country) must declare not to exercise foreign citizenship in Korea before submitting the application.
5. The applicant must register and attend to 2022 KASBP Fall Symposium.
6. The applicant must submit cover letter and CV
7. The applicant is encouraged to present a poster (Optional). All poster presenters will receive partial travel support. 
8. The award nominee will be asked to submit proven evidences demonstrating both his/her presence at current institution and ROK nationality before the symposium (copy of certificate of enrollment, and copies of visa and passport). The nomination will be cancelled with failure of submitting three described documents.

• Due date: October 9^th 2022 (Awardees will be notified on October 12^th 2022)
• Materials to submit: Cover letter and CV are must. Title and abstract are only for those who apply poster competition (PDF preferred, WORD acceptable).
• Typeface: Times New Roman, font size 11 or 12 points
• Poster abstract:  Concise (less than 1 page)
• Cover letter: Free style (1-3 pages)

Over the years, the KASBP Job Fair has established itself as a direct channel for connecting Korean pharmaceutical and biotech companies with Korean researchers from the industry or academia in the United States. The KASBP Job Fair provides an opportunity to build relationships between the qualified candidates and hiring companies for recruiting the talent.

The Korean American Society in Biotech and Pharmaceuticals (KASBP) is cordially inviting you to apply for fellowship awards in the 2022 KASBP Fall Symposium to be held In-Person on November 4th (Friday) ~ November 5th (Saturday) at Hilton Boston/Dedham.  As an honored tradition, we award fellowships to young scholars who received doctoral degree (PhD, MD, and/or PharmD) with a proven record of important contributions to biomedical research. 

The KASBP symposium has been an excellent venue for emerging scientists and scholars to connect with a large professional Korean-American scientist network. During the symposium you will also be exposed to various cutting-edge sciences in drug discovery and development from the pharmaceutical and biotech industry.

Invited Area: 

Medical sciences, Biological & Pharmaceutical sciences, Organic/Medicinal chemistry, and/or areas related to drug discovery and development

Submission Requirement*:

1. All applicants must be registered for the KASBP Fall Symposium to be eligible to receive the fellowship.
2. All awardees are required to give a 5-min oral talk and poster presentation. 
3. All applicants are encouraged to present posters, regardless of award. All poster presenters will receive partial financial support. Please send an e-mail along with Abstract, Title, and CV to the committee chair.
