Dong-A ST is a healthcare innovator. Currently, our R&D is at the cusp of an inflection point to  expand our presence not only in Korea but also at the global level. We are committed to broadening  our presence in the Oncology and Inflammatory Disease area while actively seeking business  opportunities to revamp our capability. In-house, we are building groups of scientists with advanced  capabilities in the areas of medicinal chemistry, disease biology, and translational research. Last year,  we launched our first Innovation Center in CIC/Boston to strengthen our capabilities in the space of  fast-growing gene therapy field and network into bio ecosystems there. Looking ahead, we remain  focused on expanding our presence in Oncology and Inflammatory Diseases, pursuing strategic  opportunities to drive growth in the global market.

Key responsibility: 

• Lead teams of small molecule discovery and process development of new/generic drugs in designing, synthesizing, and characterizing novel small molecules targeting specific biological  pathways or disease mechanisms. 

• Lead the preparation of project plans, progress reports, and presentations for internal meetings  and external stakeholders 

• Cross-functional collaboration with interdisciplinary departments and teams with excellent written  and verbal communication skills 

• Stay current with the latest advancements in medicinal chemistry, relevant technologies, and  industry trends through literature review and participation in scientific conferences • Actively engaged in due diligence for the external business development opportunities • Report to the head of Research Headquarter 

Required qualifications: 

• Ph.D. degree with strong Postdoctoral training  

• Expertise in the discovery/development of chemical drugs 

• Fluent in Korean and English 

Preferred qualifications: 

• Over 5 years of experience in the R&D of the global pharmaceutical industry • Experience with NCE in global pharmaceutical companies or biotech in US or Europe • Experience in TPD/Molecular Glue, ADC payloads, AL/ML approach strongly preferred
