Associate Director/Director of Computational Biology and Bioinformatics

Join a dynamic early-stage Boston oncology biotechnology company.  We are seeking a highly motivated and creative team member to analyze big data from high-throughput and high-content screens to drive predictive medicine.   

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Involvement in setting up HTS/HCS for data collection

• Interpreting complex biological information to predict targeted therapies and rational combinations for cancer patients

• Preparing data for utilization by other scientists

• Analyzing both pre-clinical and clinical data sets including RNA-Seq, WES and functional screens

• Generating algorithms for target and biomarker discovery

• Contributing to the clinical development strategy

• Serving as the expert scientific resource for internal computational biology and collaborating with project team leaders to set objectives and resolve questions

• Working with academic collaborators and public data to incorporate large-scale bioinformatics data to internal network analyses

Requirements:

• PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology with a minimum of 5 years experience or equivalent

• Demonstrated experience with large-scale high throughput data analysis, network analysis, and meta analyses

• Experience in algorithm generation and/or computational method implementation

• Proven track record of driving a significant scientific or technological project to success

• Strong knowledge in statistical software and language

• Previous experience with oncology and immuno-oncology projects desirable

• Previous experience with clinical trial data desirable
